Analysis of microcellular injection molding with use of FEM simulation

Due to economic and ecological trends, materials used in the automotive industry are expected be lightweight. One of most important advantages lightweight is a reduction raw material consumption, which results lower production costs. In aviation industry, one features its density. Obtaining with density allows reduce total weight vehicle, causes improved performance fuel consumption. key solutions produce parts microcellular injection molding (MIM), obtaining part characterized structure, consisting plastic gas pores inside part. The challenge creating achieve comparable mechanical properties state before reduction. This kind result possible by control porous material’s primarily cells size, amount distribution.This work presents influence parameters on part’s examined use 2 simulating tools actual experiment, where structure was tested computed microtomography. second aim compare obtained 3 different ways, were: Moldex3D simulation, Cadmould simulation an experiment.
